Ecclesiastes 3:11-He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
As we can feel a cool crisp in the air and the leaves begin to change colors we know that fall is on its way. The changing of the weather seasons is a great time to focus on God’s beauty and wondrous creations. It is also a good time to look at our life and examine the season we are in. There are ugly seasons, sad seasons, joyful seasons, hard seasons, grateful seasons and more. Let’s take a few minutes and acknowledge that God is guiding our path and He has a purpose for all that is happening in our life. Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us that no matter what we are facing, God will make everything beautiful in its time. It is important to note that it does not say, in our time when we want something to happen. It is all in God’s timing. He uses every situation for the good of those who love Him.
There can be beauty in every situation. Don’t be blinded by the struggles and setbacks but keep your eye on eternity and know that God will make everything beautiful in its time. If you are in a season of great joy and happiness right now continue to give thanks to God for the many blessings he has given you. For every great and beautiful gift comes from above. If you are in a season of darkness or struggle continue to give thanks for the blessings you do have and be sure to go to God for everything you need.
God promises in John 3:16-“For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” We cannot even comprehend what eternal life will be like but we know there will be no more sorrow, no more tears, no more pain. Revelation 21:4 says, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
This is such an exciting promise that keeps us going when times get tough. And when life is moving along well this promise of eternal life motivates us to live every day for God and sharing his love with others.
Prayer for the week: Dear Lord, Thank you for the promise of eternal life if we believe in you. Let us hold that promise close to our hearts every day so we can live for you. As we go through the seasons of our life whether they are beautiful seasons or hard challenges let us look to you and know that you will make everything beautiful in its time. Fill our hearts with your love so we can be a blessing to others this week. In your name we pray. Amen.
